- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2023Suzie has created a fast paced story that weaves together senusual tensions and females anxieties. I kept wondering what would happen to the family dynamics each time another wife was added to the harem. This novel will provide insights int polygamy and how four women embraced this new lifestyle.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2024When I 1st saw this book I thought now I don't wanna read about this. And the more I thought about it I thought I really do wanna find out how they would live together many wives and 1 man. I started it in the morning because I thought I could get through a few chapters the 1st see if I really wanted to read it and some of it if I didn't want to read all of it. It's interesting the way the family dinamics work in this book I don't know if they're true or not but it was interesting. I liked all the characters and their personalities. I like the conclusion it was good and into a book
- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2023Another winner by Suzanne Jenkins! I was intrigued by the love and understanding that prevailed among the four women and the devotion each woman exhibited toward the husband. I am not a fan of polygamy but I can see how the needs of each woman benefited from the arrangement. Regarding the husband perhaps his religious reason for the arrangement was overshadowed by his desire to experience sex on a regular basis with four different women. However he treated each woman with dignity and respect and genuinely loved all of his children and was actively involved in their care. And most importantly the children thrived in the large family atmosphere. Perhaps that is the best reason for polygamy.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2023I didn’t know how to feel or what to expect regarding the theme of this book. But I have to tell you, that even though I wouldn’t be able to live like that, the story is so very interesting and so different than anything I’ve read, that it is a wonderful journey to take with these people. It’s hard to put the book down once you start, but we’re in the middle of moving so my reward from all the tediousness of the packing is to settle down with this Family that Suzanne Jenkins has created. It’s the highlight of my day and it makes everything else easier to deal with.
Way to go, Suzie!! ❤️❤️
