    They met in the system. Tanner had just aged out as Isabella was movd in. After having out
    Tanner put himsealf through college and joined the FBI. Demi got out a couple months before Isabella. By the time Isabella got out Demi had an apartment and job lined up for her. She went on to school and joined the FBI. Demi started working for a place that helped kids. They stayed in touch with Demi. Demi tried to arrange for them to meet but it never worked. Until.
    One day she called Tanner. He wasn't able to come so she called Isabella. When the strung out druggie came for Demi, Isabella went out to handle it. Tanner got there in time to see her in action. When he needed a female agent he thought of her.
    Ms Barbour is one of my favorite authors. Her stories keep getting better and better. Abbie just puts it over

    This is a great series and Special Agent Isabella will not disappoint. A lot of action, enemies-to-lovers romance, and a kidnapping that is meant to save a life rather than hurt.

    This book will keep you on the edge of your seat from the beginning. The action starts right out of the gate and doesn't stop until the end. While working together to help the Arizona governor, two FBI agents must learn to get along, and they eventually find that they are more compatible than they would have thought. While protecting the Governor and her daughter from people that want to see her out of office and some even want to see her dead, the agents deal with a bombing, kidnapping, someone shooting up the Governor's mansion, and other high-action happenings. A great book that has not one, but multiple happy endings as well as action throughout that will keep you turning the pages into the wee hours of the night or until you reach the end.

    This was an interesting read, and I enjoyed this book. The author weaves together a variety of characters all of whom have had difficult backgrounds, but who have been shaped to help others. The book has an unexpected, but happy ending.

    What a great story. Gives me hope that there are still some good and kind people in this world. It was also heartwarming to watch Isabella, who didn't have the best childhood, come out of her protective shell. Her relationship with Abbie was wonderful.

    I have found the Undercover FBI books to be rather hit or miss. The early ones were really good and then they seemed to go downhill. This book however, is one of the better ones. This one revolves around Isabella and Tanner and involves the kidnapping of the Arizona governor's daughter. Tanner and Isabella have history which complicates them working together but, of course, sparks fly and romance blooms.

    I love the Undercover FBI Series, I find them fun and suspenseful. In my opinion Special Agent Isabella read like it came from todays headlines. There is political unrest, violence, threats against the head of a state and her family. When Tanner request Isabella for help in protecting the governor and her daughter she has her reservations in taking the job. Even with her reservations she manages to connect with the governor, her daughter and everybody else in the house. In my opinion Tanner and Isabella act like a couple of teenagers, their banter was a riot. It didn't take long for their feelings for each other to come through. In my opinion Mimi Barbour gives you suspense, steam and lots of action. I found there is a lot of moving parts to the story that made it feel really, I could see it happening today. Many of the things have taken place in one way or another. In my opinion Special Agent Isabella is a great continuation the the series. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
