Samantha Cole has done it again, I don't think I'll eve tire of saying that. Her craft for writing stories that captivate and intrigued is one of the many things I love about her writing. If you have read any of my other reviews for this author you will know I'm a huge fan of this sexy six pack... So I was more than a little excited when this gem popped into my inbox.

"Not negotiable" is book 3.5, a novella in the Trident Security series and although it didn't share the normal gun slinging, violence and security that is the norm in the other books this one was particularly warming and lovey dovey with a little side kick.

If you are a fan of this series, or hot men in general you must one click this baby.

So Not negotiable is the story of Parker Christiansen, DOM and part owner of the Covenant and sweet sub Shelby Whitman. It is no surprise that Parker has lusted to scene with Shelby, but she has always denied him. Unsure why, he refuses to give up on her, his jealousy over her other scenes at the club is barely kept in check.

But when Shelby is assaulted by Parkers own Brother He feels as though he is responsible. Taking her home and making sure she is OK is top of his list. After 12 weeks of serving his penalties for leaving his brother unattended, that resulted in the assault on her, Parker sets out to track Shelby down... He wants her and he'll stop at nothing to have her.

But when Parker finds out that she has taken personal leave from the club he finds himself at her front door, but what he finds out will change everything.

Shelby has fought cancer and beaten it, but 6 yrs on she is faced with the big C yet again. Not wanting to burden others with her illness she hides away at home on her own. Never in her wildest dreams did she think opening her front door she would be met with a serious and almost angry looking Parker.

Furious that Shelby is dealing with everything on her own, his inner and outer Dom raises his head and takes over. Being sick from chemo Shelby fights him but his "not negotiable " gives her no opportunity to fight back. He takes over her healing, her chemo appointments and moves her in with him.

Knowing this is what she really wants she lets Parker in, not into just her world but her heart. Unable to fight him anymore she declares her love to him, and the feeling is totally mutual. But with one more bombshell will Parker be able to overcome a situation he cannot control or lose Shelby forever?

Once again another fantastic addition to the Trident Security series that I just can't get enough of. ooohhh waiting for number 4 now

In Not-Negotiable, Parker is determined to make Shelby his own. She is equally determined to keep him at arm's length because she cant give him what she thinks he wants, marriage and a family. Finding out that Shelby is undergoing chemotherapy all alone he puts his Dom foot down and tells her he will take care of her and that's not-negotiable. When she finally confesses the reasons she's been avoiding any entanglement with him, he assures her that she is all he needs and they'll figure out the rest together.

Although I've read the earlier books in this series I just had to write how much I loved this book. It really got to me as I myself have had 2 bouts of cancer this year ( thankfully I'm in remission too). The love that Parker has for Shelby shines through every page on this book and I was so glad that she returned the love back to him! I'm off to read the next book now!

Not Negotiable is a book about love, hope and a woman's fight against cancer. Shelby Whitman has battled cancer once and beat it. But the battle left emotional and physical scars that she deals with daily. She feels like she is less than a woman and doesn't deserve to have love or family in her life. She has lost control of her body but she can control who she allows into her life. She is a member of the bdsm community and that community has allowed her to make choices in her life. Master Parker also a member of the bdsm community has wanted start a relationship with Shelby but she continually denies him. When cancer once again rear it's ugly head and Shelby has to go thru the struggles of chemotherapy the Dom in Parker takes over.

The talented and tasteful way the the cancer and it's treatments are woven through the fabric of the story is a testament to the authors skill. I can say from personal experience Cole is spot on. I was drawn to the story because cancer has taken something or someone from all of us and this book triumphs over that. I commend the author for her ability to tell a story with all of the elements that this one has. You will truly enjoy this standalone HEA story that is part of the Trident Security series. You do not need to read any of the other books to enjoy this one. I highly recommend this book if you love alpha men and the woman they love. Love conquers all.

This is my first book by this author.

This is Shelby and Parker's story. They both belong to a BDSM club and are attracted to each other. However Shelby holds Parker at bay and won't interact with him because she has a secret and does not want to share it with him.

True love finally finds a way in and this is a sweet romantic story. The BDSM is just a backdrop and this is not engaged in because Shelby is not up to it.

It was a sweet read!
