OH MY GOD! The ending made me CRY! I've gotten misty-eyed before while reading, but I've never all-out bawled like this before! It started with Chapter 40 while watching Claire walk up the stairs to go home with Father, then, while reading The Letter - oh my gosh! I was bawling like a baby! Like, tears were running down my cheeks with Clarie while she read Daniel's letter to her. My boyfriend got concerned and told me to stop reading LOL. Like that was even an option! Then reading Home, I cried tears of joy because the ending was just so perfect!--Jennifer BrownIt is the most sensual book I've ever read...total 'anticipation' to the max *grins*. Excerpt: Claire usually liked to shower with her charges, but it was not the recommended way. She would give him a little more distance tonight; let Daniel show his dreams and the source of his torment. Her instinct was to be cautious. Her angel radar was bleeping off the charts.

She inched her way closer to smell the shower gel he used. Leaning against the wall, she let the lemony steam cover her invisible but sensitive angel flesh. Claire closed her eyes, listening to him reprimanding himself in Portuguese. It wasn't important to have a word-for-word translation. She understood perfectly what he was saying. The way the sounds rolled off his tongue and the deep resonance of his voice was oddly soothing.

She knew in that instant she could save him. He didn't want to die. He wanted to live. The talented painter was fighting with himself, and right now that was a good thing.

Still daydreaming, Claire was abruptly awakened when the water stopped and he reached for the towel located on the wall Claire was leaning against. Then he reached behind him to towel dry his hair with one muscled arm as he arched backwards, giving her a first class view of his chiseled abs, and more.

I have read/listened to this book twice. I enjoyed it even more the second time around. I’m really a “SEAL baby” and although I enjoy the occasional paranormal here and there it’s not what I usually go for. I wasn’t surprised that I enjoyed Sharon’s paranormal rendition of the heavenly kind because I expected this book to be no less than her SEAL Brotherhood Series. Sharon didn’t disappoint! I enjoyed it so much… my heart aching for Claire all the way to the unexpected end! I loved the final twist that puts everything in its place as it should be.

I think that the hierarchy of the characters was very cleverly thought out and the way in which the two worlds interact was expertly played out so that you could actually think it a possibility! You’re given amazing visions of the heavenly world and its day to day business so to speak, then you’re thrown into the underworld and it putrid inhabitants and their daily goals. Caught in the middle is Daniel, wonderful, sexy, sensitive, Daniel. As always I never give spoilers and this is no different, just going to add that although different it was just as enjoyable as Sharon’s other books that we have all come to know and love.

Sharon doesn’t just deliver a wonderful hero and heroine, she always gives us really interesting secondary characters you just want to know more about. Once again her ability to make you lose yourself in a world so different to your own is unsurpassable. You will get lost in it, you will enjoy it and you will love the characters, it’s inevitable!

If you are lucky to also have the audio version, again you won’t be disappointed because J. D. Hart is a wonderful story teller. He does “pain” so well that you will feel it! I see it as a “Radio”. Sharon creates the intricate circuits and places the chips and wires in the right place not forgetting a single piece of the hardware and then JD is the electricity that flows through each and every one of those cleverly situated circuits. AND BAM! You have a song, a play, a dramatized story of love and pain, of fear and hopelessness. Together they are MAGIC!

Sharon Hamilton exerts a canny understanding of love in its many manifestations. She catches parent/child love in Claire's relationship to her heavenly parents, shows us companion love in friendships and female/male love in her bond with artist Daniel who despairs of life and love. Creating an other-world can be difficult for a writer to convey; this is never a problem for Hamilton as she paints pictures of an ethereal heaven in gossamer gold and Angel Dust. The reader is quickly transported to this realm only to return to earth and its conflicts. Claire's mission is to protect and save Daniel in the face of his great depression: save him from committing suicide and save him from his best friend, Josh, a Dark Angel who seeks to turn Daniel. Erotic sexuality is tenderly and passionately described, offering a tingle of delight to readers.

In careful attention to word choice, Hamilton portrays the emotions of her characters powerfully. Her language flows smoothly and with great detail. We see and feel as they do and become caught up in the story development. Good writing has the reader pause; great writing has the reader engrossed and staying up to all hours in solid identification with the characters. I find Sharon Hamilton's writing to fit the latter category.

This book deals with the battle of good vs evil , We meet Claire who is a guardian angel. Her newest charge is Daniel, an artist, who after a break up with his girlfriend has decided to take his life. Now even though Claire record for saving her charges is perfect so is the dark angel who is also fighting for Daniel. While protecting and guiding Daniel she quickly falls in love with him as he does with her, the angel from his dreams. Will their love win out or will darkness prevail.

There is sexual tension and some good sexy scenes in here too.
