Faerie Godmother: Mythic Series, Book 1 Kindle Edition
No one knows; not even the Werewolf pack that has taken her under their protection. When Ana unexpectedly receives invitation to Mythic’s most prestigious event: a masquerade ball hosted by the reclusive Vlane Masterson, she doesn’t want to go. She only accepts when she realizes that not going will draw more unwanted attention to herself than going.
It’s a good plan. At least until the master vampire himself finds her alone and decides to sample the goods.
Vlane Masterson awakens the morning after his annual soirée to find that something changed him, utterly. The vampires are understandably concerned; anything that can render such a powerful being vulnerable can upset the delicate balance of power and fragile alliances between the various preternatural, Extraordinary creatures that call Mythic home.
The last thing he remembers is partaking of a particularly lovely creature dressed as a legendary Faerie. But who is she? And why can’t he stop thinking about her? Where could she be … his mysterious Faerie?

- Firstly, when our couple meet (but don't talk - at all) Vlane takes blood from Ana, doesn't ask just does it. And I couldn't help but think a little consent on her part here would have been nice. Even she admits that she didn't say - yes. But then lets him off the hook by thinking that she didn't say - no, either.
- Our couple don't meet and have a verbal exchange until the 60% mark. Yep, you read that right, and this isn't a long book.
- Ana, is all things limp. Honestly, how many times must we read she is good, kind, sweet and naive (a word all the male characters use to describe her and this isn't a good thing) - and how fragile she is, bringing the protective instincts out in all the males.
- She never really consents to much of anything - letting the two male leads take over.
- The romance when it does get going - boils down to we are fated - let's not fight it, it must be love. So not only does neither character really flex any emotional muscles they never really even get to know one another - just we're fated, i accept that, let's get married. Say what now.
I found this disconnected and it had an appalling lack of story telling. There is no plot. He looks for her, looks for her, there is kind of a fight b/w the vamps and wolves, but that actually happens off the page and we only read about the results - just lazy.

The Callaghan brothers are great, but this series always makes me smile. The only issue is there are only four books in the series! I want more …

Abbie always has interesting characters that you really, really like. They're real people to me, with real motivations, feelings, thoughts... and the same is true for "Faerie Godmother". Usually you know who the Hero is in her books, but I have to admit that I was a bit confused. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to feel about either of the 2 men in the Heroin's life. But maybe that was the point? Maybe there was also a little poking of fun at a certain popular series, having them be a Vampire and a Werewolf? ;-) (Or maybe that's just me, but I chuckled at the thought.)
I wanted to know more about the town, but this story mostly takes place on Werewolf territory, which isn't in the town itself. I loved Matt, his sister, and the Pack, but I'd also like to get to know some of the people in the town, and the other Extraordinaries. Hopefully that will be in the next book - which I'm totally going to pick up! I've always loved fairy tales, and I'm intrigued by this new spin on classic characters. Really clever, and kept me guessing.
Not going to spoil anything for you, but I have to admit that Ana didn't end up with the man I really wanted for her. Don't get me wrong, it was a really fun book, but I was heartbroken for the other guy. I felt much more of a connection with him than the other guy.
I've read a lot of Abbie's romances, from the Military/Suspense, to Time Travel, to Contemporary, and I haven't been disappointed yet. There's always fantastic characters and a Happily Ever After, and when compared to a lot of other digital titles, her prices are always extremely fair. For me, she's always a One Click purchase.

Assez captivant, intriguant.
J'ai eu beaucoup de plaisir à le lire et à suivre l'évolution des personnages. Une histoire d'amour dont la fin est toute de même surprenante.
