Phantom of the Opera is not normally my jam, but the author made me a fan, not gonna lie. The writing was awesome and she sucked me in right from the start. This is the first book in the series and as soon as I had finished it, I purchased the others. Not something I normally do. If you enjoy good storytelling, you will not be disappointed in this book!

    There is nothing wrong with the writing itself...except the plot is so full of holes and ridiculous turns of events that it makes the story ludicrous, and unbelievable! Erik is unrecognizable from Leroux's protagonist. He is one dimensional and for me that made the book unreadable. I couldn't bear to finish it. Very disappointing purchase.
