About the author

Acacia was born and raised in a small town nestled in the gold rush mountains of California, roaming the rivers and pretending to be a fairy, whisked off to a fantasy world. Her main love as a young girl was the classics of Jane Austen and Tolkien, but soon her love for books grew into all genres. She often wrote when inspired by something she read or saw, tucking poems or fanfiction into the books she loved most. And as her library grew, so did her appreciation for all literature. But most often, she uses her writing to cope with past trauma and help others work through their own.
When she was young, she wanted to be an English teacher more than anything, but once she and her husband bought a house, her love for architecture bloomed. Only now has she found the time to pick back up her passion for writing, which shows in her work.
When Acacia first started writing her first series in 2021, she was so lost in the world she was creating that she only drank coffee and ate canned peaches for three weeks while writing all three books. Then from there, the stories wouldn’t stop flowing. She prides herself on being a diverse writer because the world is a big beautiful place with many stories we need to see and explore. Her goal is to give fun, engaging stories where you can get lost in the world and forget for a while.
The Goddesses in the Moon Series is an excellent example of all things she loves most in literature. It is classic writing with our favorite tropes while showcasing her love for other cultures and love for modern classics as well. Emma, the Mummy, and Gladiator were her most significant influences for this series, and it shows how much she wanted you to fall in love with these characters. Not only that, but she turned the book on its head with the amount of spicy she added to the series, which only increases with every book.
However, her love for books isn’t the only thing she is known for. She expressed a deep love for antiques and old homes from a young age. She takes it as a personal mission to find and fix as many old things as possible. Throughout her life, she spent many days wandering the gardens of the Blair House, which was the house used for the TV show Murder She Wrote. Having grown up partially in that house, her love for old things spilled over into her renovating career. After many years in California, she and her family moved to a small island hidden in Michigan to give their kids the small-town feel they both missed from how fast their hometown expanded. Acacia and her husband took on the magnanimous task of restoring an old Island treasure to its former glory. Her goal for the house is to find a place she can tuck away a swoon-worthy library.
Fun facts about our Author
She not only married her high school sweetheart, but they have a true best friends to lovers small-town love story, having met at the age of 6.
She has three funny and weird children who take after her unique personality, which is infectious.
She would spend all her time with her chickens and reading a book surrounded by flowers outside if she could.
She has always been the one people go to when anything needs to be done. Because a jack of all trades doesn’t even describe her well enough, she has mastered many skills ranging from baking to custom plasterwork.
One of her most fun qualities is her ability to make others feel safe and smile even in the dark times. Her house is the place where people come to feel safe and loved.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2022As an author myself, my preferred genre is fantasy (although I like to mix and blend genres). Recently, I was considering getting into writing erotica under a penname, and I have been on the outlook for good erotica to read for inspiration. Then, I saw this book - a mixture of both fantasy and erotica. I knew this would be the book for me instantly. Sure enough, it provides a very creative and interesting way to do erotica, and serves as potential inspiration for future books.
This book is in the first person MPOV, which I don't enjoy when reading. However, it wouldn't be fair to take stars away because of my personal taste in literature. It is well written and immerses the reader. It is sexy and witty as well. There is a good example of the author's unique sense of humor in my favorite line from the book (this is NOT a spoiler, it's just a funny inconsequential line): "Ivan will be visiting soon, so I expect your best behavior, no more dildos, butt plugs, or sex wings!" Valon ordered with an irritated scoff which only made me laugh.
There was plenty of suspense and world building that sets this book apart. The count down of time left is something the author did that helped build suspense in the first half of the book. If you want to read erotica and like fantasy as well, this is a great book to add to your shelf. For this reason, I gave the book five stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2023This is not usually my genre. I'm pretty vanilla in my romance reading and this is definitely more intense. However, it was well-written and well done. I don't really prefer the fantasy aspects but if you are on the fence, I would say you can suspend your disbelief a bit and lean into the saucy parts of it.
I don't usually like a 1st POV personally. I often think writers use it as a crutch to write mary sues. However, I think the writer developed these characters well and I didn't even realize that aspect as I read.
I did find it frustrating that this wouldn't work on my paperwhite. I much prefer that experience to the one on my kindle app on my PC. That's really the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2023This book is an interesting and unique take on the classic theme of good versus evil. The book is well-written and the characters are intriguing, making it difficult to put down once you start reading. The author has done a great job of creating a world that is both captivating and believable, and I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys supernatural or fantasy fiction.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2023If you're a fan of Shadow and Bone or The Queen of Nothing, you'll love "A Wild Prince." Acacia does a wonderful job of creating fast-paced and engaged narratives while also using vivid imagery for the steamy scenes.
I appreciated how the tale shared multiple experiences through the two brothers, allowing you to relate to many aspects of the realistic characters. They have flaws just like us!
You'll dive deep into this highly imaginative story mixed with funny dialogue, spicy scenes, and a unique plot.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2023Though I don't usually read this genre, I gave it a chance. To be honest, I found the sensuality and language well done. It had a place and fit the plot very well. Overall it's a good book and certainly has its audience.
I found myself frustrated by the frequent use of bolded font and all caps, something most editors caution against. I did like how the correspondence between characters was presented, I found it clever to use a boxed image to make it obvious to the reader it was a read letter.
The book was very difficult to read on the Android Kindle App, coming across as a .pdf. Although that made the font, pages, and chapter headers very attractive, it was impossible to make the text larger or read on a black background like I'm accustomed.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 20233 reasons why the book could be exciting:
- One brother is searching for the first love he lost. The other is a prince who is doing his best not to fall in love with the enemy's princess, who is more of a victim than her family wants to admit.
- The erotic scenes are well told
- As a reader of non-fiction books, I like that there is a good TOC
- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2023A Wild Prince & The King of Darkness: Angels The Cursed Series: Book One by Acacia Warmerdam is an imaginative fantasy book that frequently segues into erotica. The book has some humorous moments and more than one unexpected plot twist. A good novel for adult fantasy readers but it should not be opened by anyone under the age of 18.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2023I'm a fan of this genre so perhaps I'm a little biased but I genuinely loved reading this book.
The story was great and so where the characters. The world-building was also detailed and interesting, there is a lot going on and I welcome small details that help me paint the picture in my head.
The book has been well-written and formatted and I didn't see many grammatical errors which is always a goo thing as they distract from the read.
I never give away spoilers in my reviews but I will say that you need to read this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fantasy worth reading
Anyone who is a fan of storylines like Holly Black's The Wicked King will be thoroughly satisfied after reading A Wild Prince & The King of Darkness. Fantasy, eroticism and romance are the main elements on which the story is built. Fascinating characters and tense relationships stand out against the background of the plot. I recommend reading it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not your average erotic romance novel
This is certainly not your average erotic romance novel. It has fairytale and dark fantasy elements which will appeal to adults. There were some flaws, but I was able to overlook them because it was such an enjoyable read. Recommended if you enjoy erotica, fantasy, or dark romance.
