    I was so much looking to Claudio and Grady’s story since I finished reading book 1, “Don’t come for my Operator” and it didn’t disappoint.

    We have watched Claudio and Black Squadron evolve through the others books by Annabella Stone. Now they have their own series. This one starts with a heart wrenching bang.     This is a great sequel to Don't Come for My Operator! Black Squadron are supreme warfighters, the battle scenes are intense and so well written. At its heart this is a love story between two warrior's who won't give up on love. Annabella could write anything, and I would jump to read it. If I could give this book 20 stars I would!

    The last half of this story is good. The first part felt hurried and full of missing pieces. Assumptions about Grady and Claudio’s previous friendship and longings for each other have to be inferred. The staging of Grady’s copter crash and NATO’s “machinations” lead to ops against a warlord, but fade back to a too mysterious operation to wrap the plot up. The section about their coming together is good. I still don’t believe that a NATO officer would greet their chopper arrival in full dress uniform. The switching of villains is sketchy, and, this rating is probably over generous. Sentence construction is shaky, with many instances of paragraphs with no certain clue as to who is being referred to...and in the ongoing “glitter”wars, which are amusing, let’s remember that microplastics are deadly to humans, animals, sea life and the earth.
