Natalina wrote her first romance in collaboration with her best friend at the age of 13. Since then she has ventured into other genres, but romance is first and foremost in almost everything she writes.

After earning a degree in tourism and foreign languages, she worked as a tourist guide in her native Portugal for a short time before moving to the United States. She lived in three continents and a few islands, and her knack for languages and linguistics led her to a master’s degree in education. She lives in Virginia where she has taught English as a Second Language to elementary school children for more years than she cares to admit.

Natalina doesn’t believe you can have too many books or too much coffee. Art and dance make her happy and she is pretty sure she could survive on lobster and bananas alone. When she is not writing or stressing over lesson plans, she shares her life with her husband and two adult sons.

Lavender Fields is the the story of Sky Heavensent who is an angel of death who collects the souls of those recently passed. I really enjoyed this story and the characters were very well written that made you feel for them.

Sky is constantly in trouble with his Archangel Gabriel and seen as a liability and different from other angels. Sky is sent on a mission to harvest his latest soul but little does he know it is that of the one he had just set his eyes and lips on, Caleb Pierce. When Sky realises who is newest soul is, he does the one thing that is forbidden. So when Sky finds himself once again in Gabriel's spot light he knows this time he is in real trouble. Even though Sky is Heaven bound, he decides he can no longer stay away from the one person who has stolen his heart. When Sky discovers that Caleb is in more trouble than he thought he uncovers a plot that could destroy them all but sky will do everything in his power to stop the evil forces that threatens his very soul and those of the ones he loves.

This an angelic romance with lots of drama and suspense, good and evil, light and dark but it also has humour and love. Joan, Caleb’s sister is endearing and will have you laughing at her antics but you will also be in tears because of the evil that inflicts so much pain on this beautiful angel. This lovely story will touch your heart and the love that knows no bounds.

This book has a different twist and is not your normal angel story. It is a truly beautiful, intriguing and charming story and a quick and easy read.

3.7 stars A fast paced story that started good, and told from Sky's POV. Includes love at first sight, danger and some horrible scenes, mystery and love. I liked Joan but oh boy she's a trooper for swear words lol. I felt some missing pieces of the story weren't included which would've made the story better. Also missing Caleb's thoughts into the story was needed. A good story with an okay ending.

Sky fell to earth but forgot to hide his wings when he lands heavy on the beach. Caleb and his friends finds Sky and fast talking tale but Caleb doesn't believe him.. The fall for unusual coloured eyes with Caleb 28 yrs definitely attracted Sky to him.

Lavender Fields starts off a breakneck pace. Sky and Caleb meet and fall instantly. Circumstances force them apart when they met again Caleb no longer remembers Sky. Honestly, that worked for me. For all his angelic gifts Sky is very human, he feels deeply and his clumsy as all get out. He's relatable like that. Caleb has insane eyes. I can't even with those eyes.

I like the angel lore. I've read similar demon lore but not angel lore. It humanises them a bit lowers them from their perfect and holy pedestal. Even if it is quite a simplistic black vs white paradigm but its short so non-arduous world and plot building is fine.

For the love of all things good in this world will authors please use warnings. This book contains torture. Written in first person perspctive ending in the evisceration of a character's identity. To not signpost that in any way shape or form is unforgivable. But for those who read to escape who are survivors of torture or physical violence, this could be triggering and you don't expect it from a book with angels heavily focused on. And problematically torture is more explicit than the physical intimacy (and that is not well written she lacks even a basic understanding of mm sex. But at least it was safe sex. I guess? It was deeply unsatisfying.).

2 stars the fact that I actually enjoyed the book and can see why torture was used saves it from being a one. I don't know what this would have been without the unsignposted torture, it was easy to read with short well-named chapters, but it did remind me of fanfic a bit. Poorly executed romance but interesting characters. I like Sky and Caleb and Caleb's sister (she's adorable and makes me smile), even the baddie is quite good.

I absolutely loved this book, a recommended read.
Sky a Heaven-sent angel is sent to earth to return home a soul. The soul belongs to Caleb, whose life is due to end today. This is where the story of Caleb and Sky begin, and when the Arc Angel Gabriel becomes angrier with Sky than he ever has been before.
Sky always flew too fast and today was no different, but today he crash lands on a beach which is where he and Caleb will meet. When Caleb and Sky come face to face they feel and instant connection but for Sky it is instant love. While talking to Caleb Sky remembers why he is on earth and after a kiss goodbye Sky resumes his duty of the day. Opening the canister which contains the name of the soul he is to bring home today he is horrified to see its Caleb. Sky can’t stand the thought of losing Caleb when he has only just found him and puts a plan into action. This plan of action will change Caleb’s fate and anger Gabriel.

Sky’s plan of action is to interfere with the fate of Caleb and saves his life. When Gabriel finds out what Sky has done well let’s just say Gabriel is more than angry. Gabriel’s punishment for Sky is to take him off active duty and put him on desk duty. Gabriel also must have Caleb’s memory wiped as Sky has exposed himself as an angel, which as Sky knows is not allowed. Sky feels within himself that he has done a good thing, and is not happy with the punishment that Gabriel has inflicted on him. For Sky love is worth more than any other angel will ever understand. Being behind the desk hampers Sky from seeing Caleb. So, each night after dark he flies down to earth. The first visit he is upset to find Caleb does not remember him, as he does not know Gabriel had Caleb’s mind wiped clean of any memories of Sky.

It doesn’t take long for feelings to ignite for the both, but this also starts an unpleasant time for both Caleb and Sky, enter dark angel Samuel. Samuel is about to start a reign of terror on Sky and Caleb and what they endure no angel or human should have to contend with.

The cover is gorgeous and fit Sky Heavensent perfectly in my opinion. This was my first paranormal romance in the M/M genre and I loved it. The last line of the very first chapter will grab you. I had to know what happened. Love has no time table, I truly believe that you can meet someone and instantly love them. And that's what happened for Sky, though his love may not have been reciprocated at first due to interference from outside sources. I don't want to give too much away of the story. It's a beautiful love story, one of never giving up and of unconditional love. I adore the characters, especially Joan, Caleb's sister. She has spunk and a foul mouth (but there isn't a lot of language, just a few funny moments with it), I could've hung out with her in my teens! Angel stories are not normally a go to genre for me, but this one is well written without being preachy. The angels were almost like normal people, but with a little magic of course. The first book I've read from this author and I am a fan and look forward to checking out more titles! Go get this book. Read. Love.

Caleb is further attacked by a dark angel in hospital. . Curious, Sky investigates and finds a seraphic note saying that the fallen angel Samael has been allowed to do whatever he wishes with Caleb’s soul. Samael captures Caleb and takes him to Hades but Sky goes after him and rescues Caleb. Happy, they live in bliss and love until Samael telepathically weakens Sky. He captures Sky for revenge and to torture him. Using Gabriel’s help, Caleb travels to Hades to rescue Sky but arrives too late as Samael has already burnt Sky’s wings. Recovering, they identify the author of the note and the culprit behind it all. Sky gets an angel tattoo. Gabriel lets Sky’s previous misdemeanours slide so he can stay with Caleb.
A captivating novel. A brilliant plot. Well developed characters. I enjoyed the stern but kind nature of Gabriel who worked well as a boss figure. I also adored Sky’s sense of not fitting in with the angels and his love of flying but also his conflict over whether to tell Caleb about angels or not. I loved how Caleb could simply “melt my anxiety’s away” and make him feel at home. A beautiful setting of both Arcadia and Hades. The use of the fantastical elements like wings and Arcadia as an office melted nicely with the realistic elements of motorbikes and ice cream shops. Overall, an extremely enjoyable read and i would give it five stars

The story Lavender Fields by Natalina Reis is a paranormal/romance book. This is a wonderful story with characters that touch your heart. It is the story of Sky and Caleb. Sky is an angel of death. He is sent to collect the souls of the recently departed. It is on one of his missions that he meets Caleb. To Sky it is love at first sight and it seems as if Caleb feels the same. Then Sky finds that Caleb is the one whose soul he is there to collect. Putting aside all the repercussions, Sky saves Caleb. Actions have consequences, even if you are an angel. Now Sky finds himself having to protect Caleb. Will Sky be able to keep Caleb safe from harm? Will both Sky and Caleb act on the attraction that they have for each other? What does the future hold for them?

This is one story that was over far too quickly for me. I wanted to know what happens in the end, however, I didn’t want to stop reading about Caleb and Sky. They are a couple whose love knows no bounds. Sky is an angel of death that is known to everyone he works with as “accident prone” and to his supervisor, he is “the liability.” He marches to the beat of his own drum. While he knows there are consequences to his actions, he always does what he believes to be right. The attraction between Sky and Caleb is immediate and I just knew that they had to get together. Their relationship continues to grow as they spend more time together and they find themselves not wanting to ever be apart. This story also is about the danger that Sky has to protect Caleb from. There are forces at work that are determined that Caleb’s soul will be collected. It is during this turmoil in their lives that these two find their relationship growing even stronger. Will Sky find out who wants to cause harm to Caleb?

Caleb is a man that has had tragedy touch his life in the past. He has had to take on responsibilities at a young age and put falling in love at the bottom of his to-do list. Now with his meeting Sky, he finds himself both in danger and falling head over heels in love. Read this book to find out if he and Sky get their HEA. This is not the first book I have read by the author and have found that she has a way of writing romance stories that make you want them to go on forever. This book is told from Sky’s POV. This story does include adult situations and has romantic love scenes as well. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.
