This short little side book is a fantastic detour in the author’s vampire filled books. It might have taken a while for this vampire to get his head on straight, well and clearly fate thought he needed a push in the right direction, but he manages to get on board with his HEA. It had to be true for Becky since she didn’t make him suffer longer, right. I hope the author continues with this branch of vampires, I would love to see them all get their HEA.

Just didn’t get enough satisfaction from the story.
Would have easily been a solid 4 ⭐️ Maybe even a 5⭐️ if it hadn’t been cut short.
I don’t normally even bother with novellas, as I want some substance to my stories.
However, Teresa Gabelman is one of my one click authors, so I didn’t even look at the page count when I purchased this.
I will say I am super excited to see she is coming out with another Enforcer book.
Here’s hoping it’s an actual book & not another novella.

Yes, you can get a good storyline in a short book. A wonderful romance is woven into the storyline. She is heartbroken when her boyfriend left her high and dry. But she loved him so much she has not dated in a year. So her best friend drags her to a nightclub, and she gets into a huge altercation, where her life is on the line. Guess who comes to the rescue. But is he sorry? Does he beg for forgiveness? Nope. You got to read it to find out what happens. It is worth the read.

It's a fast paced book. Becky is a girl we all can relate to in. I wish this book had been longer, a little more background of Maverick wouldn't have hurt. Wouldn't mind that we hear more about the other characters. Maybe a series?
