Ok, here I go. I have never written a review before, so go easy on me. I will tell you there are spoilers! I read this author's first book and was impressed enough to download this book. I must tell you right up front that I read a really, really HUGE amount of books, and this book just shook me out of my complacency about how a book should be written. In the first book, is seems like Daniel and Bethany are going to be the same as the current genre of books out there today. Rich gazillionaire, and sweet young thing who is broke, and the H is going to save her and they live happily ever after. But there was something that told me to keep going. Maybe it is because in most of the books you read, you have the requisite ex of the H or h to create the angst in the book. And then you also have some sort of dysfunctional family issues to liven things up a bit. But Ms. Palmer creates family issues that are a bit more than dysfunctional (betcha the h wishes she was an only child!) And for the exes that appear, wow, this one is a doozy.

This is the first book in a long time that I became so engrossed in that I felt like I was the h and was experiencing her emotions! And boy does Ms. Palmer provide so many emotions in this second installment!

This review is difficult to write without giving too much away, but I will tell you that you will laugh, get angry, scratch your head in confusion, and you will most definitely cry. And at the end, you will want to throw your Kindle across the room, and curse Ms. Palmer. It was THAT good.

I simply cannot wait for book 3 and the conclusion of the story.

And this author has become an automatic buy for me.

Ugh the ending! Oh lord this woman knows how to leave you hanging! I will first start off by saying I stumbled across the first book of this series by chance of a blog posting and purchased the book for .99. She left me wanting more. Normally my book limit for ebooks is 2.99 but because she is a new author and had me hanging from book number 1 I wanted to give her my support. Money well spent! This series to me is a mix between 50 Shades and This Man. It's freaking fantastic! I also love the fact that she took her readers into account when she decided to write the full series back to back so she could release close together. There is nothing I hate more than be left hanging and then have to wait over a year for the next book in a series. So Mrs. Dee Palmer you keep up your fantastic writing! You have earned yourself a reader for life!

The 2nd book is as good as the 1st ! Loved it. Dee Palmer has a rare talent: being able to quietly drop an almost absurd element in her books which she blends into the story and by the end the plot is totally believable. Her descriptive writing is fantastic and I felt as if I was with the characters not reading about them. Now I have a long wait til June for the final book........ A real must read.
