My career has spanned four major changes - trainee nurse, full-time teacher, textile/fashion designer and manufacturer in the Far East, and a qualified business coach and mentor. All the while travelling around the world and keeping journals of the various cultures I encountered and which helped to shape my life and interests.
I prefer to refer to myself as a writer of scribbles, jotting down, pausing, penning, any and everything I saw and encountered.
One day, about 15 years ago I looked at all my diaries and decided to enroll in a creative writing course with Jonathan Lorie of Travellers' Tales. My writing journey had begun. He showed me that I could write a story, and together with Dorothy Max Prior of '69 Exhibition Road@, who taught me the beginnings of the craft of memoir writing, my enthusiasm for further writing progressed leading to writing my debut novel, Thank You for the Kiss.
I have a lot of memories and more memoirs of my travels and family are on the way.
