Ed always had an urge to create and was drawn to the visual arts, ending up as a professor of graphic design from which he’s now retired. He journaled and wrote poetry during his teaching years and before. After retirement, he wrote and published poetry and short stories on his blog site. He then wrote a lengthy bit about his struggles with creativity. He also wrote long piece on his blog about industrial farming and the impacts on our environment and food chain. Prose fiction was a different animal to him however, and the thoughts about ever writing a novel never entered his mind. However, he has since written three novels, The Awakening of Russell Henderson, San Juan Sunrise, and Sunset in Paris. He has also published a collection of short stories, Grandpa’s Horse and Other Tales.
