Idelle Kursman is the author of the thriller True Mercy, which was a Red Ribbon winner of the Wishing Shelf Book Awards. She was inspired to write the story for two reasons: 1.) She has a loved one with autism and wants readers to understand the challenges and 2.) the urgency to spread awareness of the growing human trafficking crisis.
