Justin Kuku was born and raised in Khartoum, Sudan. His father belonged to Bai tribe in Wau, South Sudan, and his mother was from Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan, Sudan. When he was twenty-two years old, Justin left Sudan to spend two years and four months living as a refugee in Cairo, Egypt. In 2004, Justin settled in the United States of America, where he pursued his education and worked within the criminal justice system. Currently, Justin Kuku lives in Salt Lake City, where he is painting his second masterpiece.
