Jay was born in War Memorial Hospital perhaps an indication of what lay ahead. She grew up between Wales, Devon and Somerset.
As a young child Jay had a passion for writing short stories, over the past few years she became a blogger. Her Falklands 35 Blog remains an ongoing project.
Widowed as a consequence of the Falklands War, Jay later worked for the NHS as a Bereavement Counsellor in palliative care.
Jay published her second book 'The Falklands Widow' in 2021, an experiential 'Journey through Grief'
This book is a must read for anyone struggling with Grief, also suitable for health professionals.
Her third book 'The Falklands Fallen' publisher Pen & Sword is now available for pre-order from all online outlets and many bookshops. All royalties to the wonderful charity the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
Jay is also a qualified coach and an Inspirational Speaker.
