It all started when she was a twelve and had an irrepressible urge to express herself on paper.
She started journaling and wrote so much that her 7th grade teacher took up her diary and said, "Let's see what's so important in here that you can't pay attention in class." Shani sat by embarrassed as her teacher read her thoughts aloud for the entire class. Little did the teacher know, she was the one in for the biggest surprise. The heated content caused Mrs. Threadgill to gasp.
After that experience, Shani pushed her writing aside. For many years, she lost interest in writing. Until she read, "All That and a Bag of Chips" by Darrien Lee. That's when she picked back up her pen and turned her love for words into a passionate career as a writer and publisher. When Shani is not being grammy to two awesome tots, she's writing about flawed fictional relationships, reading a good book, or engrossed in politics.
