Retirement should be easy enough, right? That’s what Simon Steed hopes when he hires Shade Olson, a recent law school graduate with excellent skills and test scores. He still gets assigned court cases by a local judge, who respects his ability to bring out the truth and achieve a winning verdict. But now, at age seventy, he’s almost ready to leave it all behind and hand over his practice to Shade.
