After an accident that left him disabled, Patrick Mackenna left the fame for free booze, and a peace of mind to play at small bar in New York. The regulars share laughs, as they try to forget their pasts, in a home where the piano man plays to forget. On the slow hours, where the people couldn't care less, a stranger offers Patrick a taste of a time long forgotten. Stubborn though he is, the piano man cannot pass up the chance to share what he sees as his brilliance, despite all the mishaps, and setbacks a musician has to endure.
