Addie B. and her cousins Jack, Beanie and Bodie are spending their summer holiday in the mountains of North Carolina. One rainy day, Addie B. and Bodie come across an old map from a book they were reading. The map is in the Cherokee language. Addie B., with the help of her Moonstone ring, discovers that the map leads to the Crystal Canyon, which is another gateway to the magical land where their friends Gemma, her white wolf Jumani, Jadira the smelly buffalo creature and their new friend Mai Li live. The cousins must face one of their fiercest enemies yet - Arach, the crystal spewing dragon. But is Arach the enemy he appears to be? Or is something much more mysterious going on? The cousins must again work together to save their friends and each other from the dangers of that magical land.
