As the 1960s draw to a close, Dudley's finest (and only) private investigators are at the top of their game. Following their spectacular foiling of a gang of shoplifters intent on ruining Christmas for the children of Birmingham, Dennis Bisskit and Stinky Blackshaw's fame spreads far and wide. Before long, Lady Ophelia Babbington-Perch hires them to safeguard her Cruft's dog Show favourite, Bertie the Basset hound. It all seems straightforward, but is there more to this job than meets the eye? Is Bertie the real target, or could it be the public humiliation of Bisskit and Blackshaw? One thing is for sure, crime has never been so hilarious.
