Lady Justice and winners

I absolutely love this series. Love all the characters especially Walt, Ox and extended family. This book is about Earl and Morty winning a huge lottery and their troubles following. It has serious moments and laugh out loud ones. Enjoyed the reference with Star Track and colon cleansing. Great narration as usual. Highly recommend this series who enjoy fun mysteries and need break from the dark. It shows your only old as you think. THANK YOU!!!!

Great listen who wouldn't love this author humor

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed this series, love the dry humor of Walt, I have to say each story makes me laugh out loud but this more than most of them. I laughed so hard my tummy hurt people at work said there she goes again, my boss said what is so funny, then said your listening to that audio again aren't you. I know we have all thought about winning the lottery and what we would do with the money, but I doubt any of us have every thought of spending it the way these men do. I love how the author spins a tale of danger, love with a twist of humor that keeps you on the edge as you laugh yourself silly. I love how Walt makes a mess of things but it somehow works out. I have thought about it before and always thought this series would make a great TV show only if you would have the right people playing the parts. As in this story the winners decide all of Walt's and his friends should be on TV, I couldn't agree more. This would be on series I would have to buy as soon as it came on DVD.

Mr Kuch is a wonderful narrator from his male to female voices you are captivated, he really brings Walter to life with his dry humor that fits him to a T. Each of his character voice really fit what I picture the character to sound like which makes it very easy to picture them in your mind. I had no trouble picturing the danger, ribbing, humor and excitement as it unfolds. I always give him a five start because of the wonderful job he does. I wish I could do that again but there were a lot of volume changes half way through the audio that did take away from his preference. Beside that there is no background noise, no repeating of words just a lot of volume changes where his voice is lower and than higher. It happens to many times for it to be when breaks are taken. He still is one of the best narrators I have listen to and does brings true emotions to his characters you can feel the power of the excitement, danger, thrills, and humor along with the dry humor of dear old Walter. The narrator knows how to bring you the thrills, excitement that holds your attention from the first page until the last. I didn't know just why I truly loved his narration until I listened to someone else narrate and found he doesn't put in Walt said or she said etc that takes so much away from the enjoyment of listening. If you have truly wonderful character voices they can tell you who is talking and what they are feeling. My hats of to this narrator for giving me what I truly want to listen to.

Even with the volume changes I totally enjoyed this audio, I love the laughs, even a few OH MYs and a couple of oh that isn't good.

Lady Justice and the Lottery

This is a fantastic series Walt is a Police Officer him and his partner get assigned different cases. These cases bring some great humor, as well as you get to know Walt and Partner solving these mysteries. Each story brings you a fantastic story that really keeps you captivated. I definitely recommend. The National and Author do a fantastic job at bringing the story to fruition. I love the audiobook.

Plodding Along

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Who hasn't had the thought of winning the lottery??? Well, this is what can happen if you win! The two new characters of the book were interesting, and I found that the book itself was okay. It felt quite slow until the end, with a lot dedicated to Star Trek (which I've never watched and thus didn't really understand) and colonic cleansing. (No, that's not a joke. There is a serious amount of this book dedicated to a man sitting on a toilet and another man talking to him about the toilet). The plot itself was average, and amounted to a little bit of a filler style book.

Definitely a realistic take on the Lottery!!!

Everyone dreams of winning the lottery, but few think of the consequences that come with it. Love the story and can’t wait for the next one in the series!!! This is honestly my go to series for a great story and when I just want to relax and listen to a great audiobook. It’s a sure thing!!!

Lady Justice and the Lottery. Book 14

A friend of Walt's and his friend win the lottery. Walt and Ox begin a new adventure in kidnapping for money. My favorite part is Walt using a Star Trek Phaser to catch a bad guy. This is a must in anyone's audible collection! Hilarious!

George Kuch uses voices that are believable and, in most cases, lovable.

Lady Justice and the Lottery

What would you do if you won the lottery? Two people in this book did and tried to do some really nice things with the money. Unfortunately when you win the lottery you have more dangers than you did before and in this book one of the possibilities is shown. Walt, Ox and the police are they to save the day once again and get put in a precarious position. Luckily this is Walt, so all ends well again. Loving this series so far!

Be careful what you wish for...

I just can’t get enough of Walt! He and Ox seem to have the knack for drawing the weird cases, but thanks to Walt’s life experiences, they somehow manage to muddle through.

This book makes references to prior cases, so while it’s not necessary, I’d recommend reading the books in order.

I’m thoroughly enjoying this series by Robert Thornhill. Keep ‘em coming!

George Kuch, once again, delivers a fantastic performance. I look forward to his next narration.

GREAT READ

Lady Justice and The Lottery is my fourteenth enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners, as always dealing with current social topics. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Up next is Lady Justice & the Vet. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
