Publisher's summary

With the death of a young black man, Walt and Ox are dragged into the eye of a storm as Kansas City erupts in violence and demonstrations.

Fearing for their lives, Captain Short sends them on assignment to Cabo San Lucas where they find themselves in the eye of a very different and even more dangerous storm - Hurricane Odile.

Surviving these ordeals pushes both men beyond the limits of anything they have experienced, and leaves Walt facing one of the most important decisions of his life.

another wonderful listen

As is the normal for this author he goes outside the box bring you a delightful dry humor that keeps you laughing as well as a few hold your breath moments. Jerry normally has some bad jokes, some are cute but none really funny. Walt is his normal dry self that really keeps you laughing alone with the other casts. Each story in this series is better than the other. I know when I pick up a audio from this author and narrator I am in for a heck of a good time. I just love how this author thinks outside the box giving you a very serious story but filled with humor and a few thrills and maybe even a chill as we take a walk on the wild side never knowing how what twisted story he will come up with next. I totally love his stories.

The narrator as always does a wonderful job. He did an outstanding job. I love his character voices which fits the characters to a T, he gives true emotion to each of them, making you believe that it is truly happening before your eyes. There are no repeating of words, no volume changes, no background noise just a very delightful clear audio that I truly loved.

Realistic

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

While there is no mystery in this book, I think maybe it was better than the previous few because it's based on real events. It felt like a different book to the last few books in the series, and I enjoyed it.

Lady Justice in the Eye of the Storm. Book 18

Walt and Ox are caught in the middle of city wide violence and demonstrations after Ox is forced to shoot a suspect.

This had me in tears or very close to tears from first page to last. It's an emotional rollercoaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Lady Justice in the Eye of the Storm

Robert Thornhill does it again and creates a powerful story that dips into a very touchy subject. While Walt and Ox have to deal with a very difficult situation we all begin to think more on this subject and see both sides. Another fantastic addition to this series.

Lady Justice in the Eye of the Storm

I am thoroughly enjoying following the antics of Officer Walt Williams. The topic of this book is quite serious and very relevant, but Mr. Thornhill still manages to infuse some humor. Very thought provoking and also very enjoyable.

George Kuch does a fantastic job of relaying the story with the perfect amount of energy and emotion. I can’t imagine anyone else voicing Walt.

Great read, enjoyable series

Lady Justice in the Eye of the Storm is my eighteenth enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners, as always dealing with current social topics. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Since I own both the Audible & Kindle versions I was able to follow along while being read to. Up next is Lady Justice on the Dark Side. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

So much packed into one amazing book!

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. Wow, what can I say? There was so much packed into this one book that I'm overwhelmed (but in a good way). There's a hurricane, officer-involved shootings, protests and near riot conditions. I can't wait to start the next book to find out what will happen next!

Way to go Walt

Oh my! A hurricane what! As always Robert Thornhill has caught my attention and kept me entertained. I find when I read one of Roberts books I learn more about what ever topic he has chosen for the story line. In this book I got a first hand look at what a hurricane can be like. Well done again Robert. Also George Kuch does the most amazing job of narrating this series. He is the true voice of Walt Williams. Not to give anything away but the ending of this book leaves the reader wondering where this story will go next in Walt's life
