Absolutely. Everything in my life has influenced how I write and how I perceive events around me.

Writing is my livelihood. Marketing with AdC Magazine is more of a 'keeping my fingers in the bowl' type of thing. I enjoy helping authors, whether they're new to the industry or experienced. It's a great way to pay it forward.

Yes, actually. I knew a man who was an extremely talented carpenter. I felt the artistry of that type of work is being lost and I wanted to show there are still some people out there who want to create elegant artworks in a building and home.

Traveling across the US, we came across a lot of mirages. Every time we would approach one, I'd think that'd be fantastic way to open a portal to another time. The 1935s? We attended a flapper party and the idea grew from there.

If I find a particular scene difficult, I'll go back a chapter and reread what I've written. Doing that opens my brain and I can continue with the story.

Countless moons ago, I got into marketing and advertising a few years after I was published. Writing and marketing is something that must come hand in hand with anyone in the publishing industry. The stories are for the readers. I want them to like my books. I also love attending book events and meeting readers in person.

Sometimes I find it difficult to add humor to my stories. I lot of my humor is a pile of quick wit. So, I pretty much add that to a character and play with it that way. Humor is so important. You got to laugh! It's cleansing. Especially if you're reading because you want to escape to another world for a little while.

Right now I'm writing a story called Ruff Times. It's a cute romantasy. I'm also doing a lot of research on dragons. That'll be the next adventure!
