Alan Conrad is the author of The Shyness Guide, a book in which he explains his view that shyness is natural, and demonstrates that shy people can function effectively in the social world without betraying their true nature. He has two novels - The Birdcatcher, which he call a declaration of independence for shy people, and Skol, the story of a shy 17 year old boy alone in a twenty-third century galactic empire.
