      • I don't think this generation is less aware of the art itself, but maybe less aware of the effort and heart it takes to create this literary artwork.

      • Chrissy Peeble's series "The Crush Saga" is probably a big resemblance to my own, and I have gained plenty of inspiration through reading it over and over again.

      • I would be the original author of the well known romance, “Twilight” just so that I could have the insight and talent that Stephenie Meyer has.

      • My books have gotten longer and I’ve worked to better the structure of my chapters. But I think my style has changed mostly with my characters, I’ve bettered myself in developing deep-rooted, opinionated, wish-they-were-real characters.

      • I don’t know how it is for others, but for me, a strong title and alluring cover is everything. Though we say, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” We kinda do judge books by their covers. How many times have you been in a store and seen a nice cover and gone, “Ooh!” While picking it up? Exactly.

      • I’m not sure if it’s “Writer’s Block” or just a short attention span, but there are times when I just feel like I can’t write anymore. The book is suddenly boring and my laptop too heavy in my hands. I struggle often with this, and it’s not that I don’t enjoy writing, I just get burnt out easily. My biggest tip I would say is taking breaks. As simple as it sounds, just takes breaks. That’s the beauty of indie writing, you make your own deadlines, you’re allowed to take breaks, and don’t be afraid to use that liberty.

      • I would probably give up every dime I have and will ever have made by writing. I’m not writing for money, I’m writing for my own health, entertainment, and for other’s amusement. I really don’t care if I make money off of it. So if it meant I could be better at doing what I love, I’d give that up.

      • For me, writing from the opposite sex’s position is actually easier for me. Though writing in a male’s shoes has its challenges, I find it easy. Maybe that’s because males are just simpler in their thinking. But the difficulties I’ve faced is being realistic with my male characters. I think as a woman, we think these things and just think that’s how it is when it’s not always. Like for example, we see lots of men wearing boxers in the movies, checkered, blue and green, so we just think that’s how it is when there’s actually a variety of men’s underwear, and boxers aren’t actually that common.
