BIOGRAPHY

Karen received her graduate degree in English and creative writing from Florida State University, where she was the poetry editor for The Southeast Review. Her poems and short fiction have earned several awards including a nomination for a Pushcart Prize and a Kingsbury Fellowship. Her recent romance novels have also won awards, including a Pencraft Award, and two Literary Titan awards. They were also both finalists in the Chanticleer Romance Fiction contest. Her newest rom-com, Anonymously Ever After, will be available in 2027 from Rising Action Publishing.

She lives with her husband, son, and six cats in Maryland, where she teaches college literature and writing. When she isn't writing, she can often be found sitting at a friend's dining room table drinking wine and playing RPGs, hanging out at the local Indian restaurant with her bestie, or curled up in bed with a few cats, listening to the rain and either reading a book or watching a BBC mystery.

      • I've been writing stories and poems since I was six. I can't -not- write. So yes, as a child, as a teenager, a college student, and as an adult, writing has always been my passion and I'd love for it to be my full-time profession.
