BIOGRAPHY

Tales and Legends is my vehicle to give back to readers of all ages, particularly those who have struggled with reading. My 25 years of teaching diverse readers revealed that Arthurian Legend & stories from the Ancient Worlds draw in readers of all abilities. My Arthurian stories are fast-paced adventures. My Ancient World tales meld the ancient/medieval worlds with today. Grandma/Grandpa’s Tales help young readers build reading skills.

My books have won a variety of awards: CIPA Evvys, Chanticleers, Mom’s Choice Award Honoree, Most Notable of 2023 Indies, CAL Awards, Read... ers’ Favorite, Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, Chanticleer Book Awards, and others.

I love doing classroom visits where students create their own Medieval Illuminated Poetry. So much fun! Even the boys have a great time creating their poems. In my full-day Medieval Workshops, kids explore Medieval times with a variety of activities. I also believe in magic & Unicorns! read more
