In childhood Marta, a polio survivor, spent time reading by the attic window of her grandparent's store under a light bulb strung from the ceiling. Despite physical and learning disabilities, she dreamed of being a danced and author.
After highschool Marta became a professional model and dancer. During college and while her children were young, she hosted a TV show, taught dancing and was a volunteer counselor.
During her 30-year career in public service, Marta stated as a trainee clerk and earned promotions to Case Responsible Person, Program Manager, Public Relations, and Research and Analyst.
