BIOGRAPHY

I taught science in middle school after receiving a Secondary Education degree in science from Wayne State University. I then obtained a Physician Assistant degree from University of Detroit-Mercy. My interest in writing started in 2005 with my first published short story The Swimming Hole. I decided to write medical mystery/suspense novels in 2009 after reading several novels by Tess Gerritsen. My medical background and my writing skills along with a vivid imagination provided the motivation to complete four novels. Frozen Death, Sudden Blindness, Strange Appearance, Strange and a book of short stories, The Strange Horizon.

    • I write with more descriptive sentences in my writing, but not too much description which takes away from the flow of the story. I also learned from my editors at Rogue Phoenix Press. I now know what words to look for and words to eliminate before sending my novels to my editors at RPP. My process of writing has greatly improved since my first book in 2009.

    • I originally started writing short stories several years ago 2005 with several short stories being published in magazines. I then started reading medical thriller novels written by Tess Gerritsen. I said to myself: "I can write a novel." Being a physician assistant and a previous middle-grade science teacher, along with a college minor in English, I wrote my first medical mystery novel Frozen Death in 2009. My seventh novel Whispers Before Death is scheduled for publication December 8, 2019.
