BIOGRAPHY

I escaped the abuse of my childhood through daily trips to the library. Between the characters in the books, the ones I made up in my head, and the guardian angels I believed existed I beat the odds and grew up to become a loving and protective mom.

Kids everywhere today face nearly insurmountable social injustices as I did or see these things in their friends. I decided to gather up all the ingredients that gave me hope as a child and create the character of Elle Burton. Every young girl needs a role model she can count on and every mother needs a little help in having the difficult conversations.

My passions are writing, music, rescue pups and protecting our air and water resources. (That's when I can escape for a few minutes from the new puppy.)
