What is your strongest memory, as a child, of your parents and what were you all doing at the time?
This is going to sound odd but just off the top of my head, it’s that my father made me eat Chicken Pot Pies and to this day, I can not stand them.
How has being a book lover changed you
I think reading gives you an appreciation for other places and other types of people. And, depending on the type of books you read, help improve your vocabulary, your reasoning, and thought organization.

How did you begin writing the A Swan Harbor Story series?
I love small town books where all the characters are connected, and they pop up periodically. Originally, I had planned on setting the stories in a small town in Florida but then in Book 1, ice skating and snow appeared and so I moved it north.
Who inspired the character of Veterinarian Emma Foster in "Kittens, Puppies & Love"?
The name is from one of my favorite shows, but the character just happened. I am a true pantser when I write. I begin with a name and maybe a job and start writing. Kittens was one of those stories, I had no idea where it was going when I started, but it worked.
What is the important essence or ingredient to writing a suspense thriller?
I think it’s making sure that you drop enough hints to bring your reader with you, but then also keep enough back so they’re surprised at the end. I also believe that it’s about building a world they are invested in. And then painting a picture with your words.

Love is out there if you’re open. I’ve been married for 32 years.
If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
Actually, my journey into writing only started in the past year after 30+ years in a medical field. There is no way, I would have pursued this before I did because I tend to obsess over a story and have a bossy muse. It’s how I’ve published 7 books since March 2020.
Which do you prefer, Charlie's Angels or Scarecrow and Mrs. King?
Scarecrow and Mrs. King. I have the DVDs and still watch periodically.
What essential advice can you give for a new dog owner?
Consistency just like with children.
Is there anything new that you're working on? When can we expect the next book to come out?
In Kittens, Puppies & Love, I began weaving a secondary story centered around the ‘hope’ of the town. That secondary story played out through Brothers, Kisses, and Mistletoe and I’m currently working on Hope, Hearts & Forever, which is a parallel story of 1717/1718 and present day. I hope for it to be out in March.
Who or what was it that first introduced you to AllAuthor? What are your thoughts and opinions on it so far?
I ‘think’ I found out about All Author from L.H. Whitlock and so far, I love it. I’m sure there are many things it does, I’ve yet to discover, but it’s good.
