About the author

Todd McGee began his writing career while a student at N.C. State University, where he was a sportswriter and then sports editor for the student newspaper, Technician. He has also covered sport for the Associated Press, The (Raleigh) News & Observer and various magazines and websites. A poker enthusiast, he self-published his first book, "Tournament Poker for Recreational Players," after playing online poker for almost a decade. He published his first novel, "'Tis the Season for Dreams," in October 2019. His World War II historical fiction, "A Tomorrow Worth Living For," was released in April 2020. In April 2023, he published "The Lyin' Scion: An in-depth look at the trial and conviction of Alex Murdaugh." He is currently preparing a similar book on the trial of Bryan Kohberger, which will be released shortly after his trial concludes. When he's not writing, he's cheering on the N.C. State Wolfpack, the Cincinnati Reds or the Carolina Hurricanes.
