I always enjoyed reading and I often felt the need to be on the other side of the page, so to say, to be the one doing the writing. But first and foremost, writing has been a personal, therapeutic activity. I deviated from this pastime for a while, when literature and foreign languages became something I chose to study, rather than just indulge in whenever I had the time. Several years after graduating from University, I started writing for fun again – tired of the excessively practical application of what I had learnt, I found my way back to the old, impractical, creative outlet. "Parallel Lives", my debut novel, was the fulfillment of a promise to myself. It was never meant to pay the bills, be a literary masterpiece or represent a career change. I needed to prove myself I could write it and once it was finished, I realized I also wanted to share it with the world. Three more books and a collaboration followed, the most recent of which, "Frames", a collection of four short stories, was published in May 2020.
