Jaime Wynter-Hewitt

About the author

Jaime has been an educator for over 11 years. She loves working with children and especially those with special educational needs. "I call them Oysters, because they have invaluable pearls", she says. She has worked in different realms of special education with children from varying backgrounds. She has travelled to Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Mexico, and the USA. Jaime connects with children in a way that uniquely allows her to reach their hearts, which is a fundamental art of teaching. As a Jamaican, mother and wife, Jaime believes that everyone should not limit their abilities to one pathway. “There are different roads that may lead to the same destination, and sometimes we get lost trying to get there. Whichever road you take, appreciate the journey, and make the memories last for a lifetime.” She loves travelling, gardening and spending time with her husband, Linton, and daughter, Mulani.
