John started writing shortly after the first goose provided, unwillingly, the first quill and can clearly recall his delight when Mr Johnson produced the first dictionary. Or more to the point, he's been writing for many years. He specialises in tongue-in-the-cheek fiction with a penchant for the unusual - be that a typical person's quirks and foibles, or the more mysterious vagaries of life as it is or as it could be. 2015 saw the publication of the first part of his tragicomic coming-of-age novel The Diary of Horace Wilt, alongside the quirky, cockney Charlie's Tale, a long novella told to the reader by the ageing Chas Jones who one day found a ghost... Since then Horace's tale has been completed, a couple more Regency Club shorts have been published - and in 2019 the first two books in a new series, Black Looks hit the shelves.With a new publisher behind him - Regency Rainbow - the new books are arriving with fantastic new covers, and more new books are in progress...
