Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Eleanor grew up running after wild animals hoping to make new friends and playing in the swamp in the summer. That passion aided her in writing about nature and animals. Although she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, she finally earned a BS in Environmental Sciences and Territorial Management at the age of 44. Eleanor has worn many hats in her career: sales and purchasing agent, mother, wife, grandmother, family-run bakery, computer shop, and machine shop. But she has always circled back to her first love of telling and mostly illustrating stories. She is an SCBWI, CBI, CANSCAIP member, and a graduate of the Children’s Book Academy. Eleanor is a Canadian author/illustrator residing in Italy.
