As he turned, he stopped dead in his tracks. His whole body felt warm, then it went numb, his legs giving way as he slumped to the floor. Kevin saw the bright, white tiled floor begin to turn dark red, confusion etching his pale face. Glancing down, he realised the blood was coming from him as he saw the redness spreading across his shirt, then the flash of a knife as the blade was wiped across his sleeve.
