“What’s impossible?” Dominique asked hearing him as if he’d spoken it aloud.
“You are not dead!” he exclaimed.
But she was, for all intents and purposes, changed. Dominique felt strange, that’s for sure, more so than before she drank his blood. It’s like she’d awakened from a deep sleep. Her senses were heightened, hearing, smell, and taste. She felt an odd sensation in her mouth as her canine teeth elongated, becoming fangs.
