“There is a power between us even though I know yours is locked away,” he says softly, a few inches from my face. “That doesn’t mean they can’t connect inside us.”
“How?” I whisper, not knowing if what he said was true.

I open my eyes and look at him. His eyes are on my lips just before he catches my gaze. I feel like that young girl again who was excited at sharing a kiss with this boy. But he is no longer a boy nor I that girl.
