Two Generations. Two Heartbreaking Choices. One Island.
On the shores of Bailey Island, Maine, where the tides bring both change and second chances, two women from different eras seek answers to bring redemption and hope.
While Kenzie settles into her new life with Sam Philips, she offers a refuge to her niece Reagan who finds herself pregnant and in disgrace after a forbidden relationship with her college professor.
Decades earlier, Frankie Murray, seduced by an engineer who worked on the island’s new bridge, discovers she is “in the family way” and faces the harsh reality that the man she fell for has disappeared. When her parents find out, they’ll ship her off to a distant relative and force her to give up her baby.
Heartbroken and alone, neither young woman expects a promise from a very different man and the possibility of finding love again.
BIOGRAPHY Skye Taylor, author, mother, grandmother, and former Peace Corps Volunteer (2002-2004,) loves history, adventure, travel, the ocean, books and chocolate (not necessarily in that order.) She's been writing since high school, but only got serious about getting published when she retired and decided this would be her next career. Her latest adventure in writing is mystery and she's been participating in the Citizens Law Enforcement Academy, and riding along with local deputies as part of the research. Her latest series is set on Bailey Island Maine where she spends a part of every summer. A faithful reader had been there and suggested writing a series set on that lovely little bit of Maine and once that seed was planted, it flourished.
