The Boy Who Survived the Storm is Elder Willie Foster’s deeply personal story of survival, faith, perseverance, and purpose. Born the fourteenth of eighteen children and left in the care of relatives at only two years old, Foster grew up carrying questions of belonging, family, and identity.
His journey would take him through hardship and uncertainty, military service, public service, leadership, business, ministry, and ultimately a deeper understanding of the hand of God upon his life.
More than a memoir, The Boy Who Survived the Storm is a testimony to the power of faith and the possibility of finding purpose beyond pain. It is the story of a boy who survived the storm—and the man he became because he refused to let the storm define him.
