The setting for this story is on beautiful Merkel Mountain that sits in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Central Alabama. There are hundreds of trees and lots of vegetation on Merkel Mountain. The soil is mostly red clay with embedded rocks and the moist air on the mountain makes a perfect place for an ant colon... y. And where there are ants, there is probably an anteater nearby.
