Sarah 3 years ago This is a fantastic book. Though it’s a romance, it was really about grief, and specifically Twitch’s. It managed to be confronting about grief and substance abuse, without being really depressing. In fact, I felt a little bad about cackling with laughter at some parts that would have been horrendous to actually experience.
Twitch losing his brother was heartbreaking, but watching him work through it and grow as a person was at the same time, heart wrenching and uplifting. The music and art is therapy aspect rang true as well, and Gia getting back to it after her grief, was beautiful. Both characters were so good to read.
My only issue with this book, is that it could use another go through the editor. Sometimes the grammar and punctuation mistakes made it difficult to understand, especially in the first half. But I promise, it was worth the effort of pushing through. Even with that, I still give it 5 stars.
