Would you enter a haunted plantation battling the sins of its past?Five long years... Avery Jackson’s waited a long time for the Beaumont House. After her grandmother’s death, she has plans for the land: preservation. Apparently, Grammy had another idea—Tulane’s handsome Rockstar-historian has inherited the house with her. Even though his chocolate eyes and velvet voice turn her inside out, Avery doesn’t want anything to do with the man. Or any man, for that matter. Grant Michaud was the luckiest man alive. Not only is he bequeathed his ancestral home by a rich romance novelist, Tulane offers him tenure if he’ll donate the site to the history department. But bringing in a red-haired librarian as his partner wasn’t the plan. Sure, the spitfire captivates him, but he’s focused on his goal—finishing his historical narrative of the Underground Railroad. With her extensive knowledge about the plantation, he’ll finish in record time.Unfortunately, it seems the long-dead residents of the Beaumont House haven’t left. The lantern at the plantation’s gates illuminates every night without cause, and the spirit of a slave girl befriends Avery, wreaking havoc on their progress. Pressured by the head of the history department to make good on his promise, Grant calls his friend Terrance, a professional ghost hunter, to help. But as the past returns to haunt them with vengeance, it’s clear that evil lurks beyond the gates of the Beaumont House. Until they discover the truth, nobody’s getting in.

BIOGRAPHY History buff, Francophile, and hopeless romantic-- the perfect mixture for writing romance! An avid reader, as a teen, I loved the "happily ever after" sweet romances, but I quickly plunged into the world of historical romance--my get-away-from-real-life transporter. Add in a degree in Political Studies with six years of French--twenty years later, I found a new career. 4 published works with one due in June, my focus is Historical Romance, although I'm branching out into other sub-genres. I'm all about the HEA.
I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with my husband of 22 years and my four children. I spend the long winters plotting and scheming my next book, and in the mild summers, my family and I spend every waking moment we can hiking and kayaking the Northwoods. Lake Superior and its awe-inspiring beauty is my muse, my happy place. I live where I play, and it suits me perfectly.
