The sight of the bear charging toward them filled them with fright. Though frozen with fear Allen franticly searched for a tree, steep hill or someplace to shelter them from this ferocious creature that was almost upon them. With a glare he added, “How did you find her anyway.”Grove looked at him with a sarcastic look and said, “Sorry, I was too late to hear your instructions. Besides, how was I going to find her if I stayed with the others? You were all going the wrong way.”No one answered. A snarl came from the side of the house and a wolf or large dog appeared from that direction. Foam mixed with blood was dripping to the ground from around its snarling mouth. It stood growling at them for a moment then the hideous creature let out a howl and charged toward them.

After the death of my parents, I found a novel manuscript that was written by my grandfather. When I read it, I found that there was experiences and information about how he lived and saw life that needed to be shared with his 1000+ descendants. I edited and published his novel ‘Life’s Tangled Trail.’
