Grayson Taylor Shaw is looking for his long lost family who doesn’t even know he exists; He travels to Ryhope, Sunderland to look for them and gets a few surprises along the way. Bodies begin to appear along the edges of the River Wear and PC Roberts starts to see a pattern emerge from the victims and starts to put the pieces together and realizes there is a serial killer in her city. Her path to finding the killer has brought her to Grayson and when Natalie's partner goes missing, they work together, to reveal who the killer is and to stop the murderous spree with disastrous consequences to themselves.
