Green pastures is a story of an unknown female poet. My autobiographical story of my life. I thought, my self published poetry book of 2005, would be successful. So I decided to write a book that chronicles my life from childhood to 22years old. In the book I write about stressful relations with men, friends, and family. Mainly my embarrassing father, which I am ashamed, to admit he is. Which leads to a slew of unhealthy interactions with men. Plus an abusive interracial romantic relationship with a Spanish man. Who I dated for 8 years but my book only details 4 of them. In addition I talk about being bullied as a kid throughout my adulthood. I think I deserve the most attention in the world. Most people believe I don’t deserve to be respected. Which is why I’m the concrete jungle... I searching for metaphorical green pastures. Meaning I want life to be as pretty as serene green pastures.
The author Shadelle Amarante copyrighted the book in 2007. It was self published in the same year.
