In a brazen attempt, someone just tried to murder the most powerful drug lord in all of Mexico at his ten-year-old daughter’s birthday party… AND THEY MISSED! In their wake they slaughtered innocent women and children sparking Armageddon. Vicente De Los Santos “The Boss of Bosses” pursues revenge and seeks blood while severely injured. Vicente’s eldest son, Ignacio, races to avenge his family's honor, tracking down witnesses while carrying wicked secrets of his own. Santino races home to be by his family’s side, however suspects something deeply sinister.
Vicente's brother Aurelio, an honest and fierce lieutenant in the Sinaloa State police, will investigate his family's attack. He will quickly piece together a frightening enemy. Gabriella, a cunning business woman, ruthless in her own right comforts her young daughter Lucita, who was injured in the attack while attempting to keep her family from imploding. La Familia Loose Ends is a phenomenal introduction into the De Los Santos cartel dynasty. The first book in this five-part series exposes this highly complex and powerful family. La Familia Loose Ends catapults this twisted story into high gear, all leading to a tragic end.
BIOGRAPHY I've been sitting on the idea of this book for years now. Mind you, I have written nothing in my entire life. This family and this story have flashed in my head from time to time, but I could never get any traction on it. Well, last year I quit my job and sat down on my couch, opened my computer and started writing. One hour and ten pages later, I brought to life the De Los Santos Family. Honestly, I cannot say how I have pulled all of this out of thin air, I will call it Devine intervention. I completed writing the first book, La Familia Loose Ends, in three months. A few months after that I could not turn the creative juices off, so I jumped right in to the second book. I completed that in another three to four-month span. I have the story boards and plots lines for all five books drafted however, I will wait to write anymore and now solely focus on marketing this first book.
Historically, Mexico is dominated by the violence of multiple cartels fighting over territories. La Familia spotlights one family’s dominance over the entire country. Vicente De Los Santos reigns supreme as the boss of bosses, challenged by his two sons, but for very different reasons. Ignacio seeks his father's throne and hatches insidious plots to kill him. Santino wants to rid his country of the drugs and poverty. Provide clean water, education, schools and hospitals. Gabriella stands by her husband's side, a cunning business woman, ruthless in her own right but still a mother. Aurelio, a lieutenant in the Sinaloa State police, has to battle the crooked cops and government officials, while trying to bring his brother Vicente to justice. Lastly, there is Lucita. A ten-year-old little girl that just wishes to be a little girl. She is sweet and innocent, not yet affected by the violence of her family. She will quickly learn though that being a family member in a cartel, there are no innocent people. Lucita becomes a pawn in dark and sinister schemes.
I can't express how much fun I have had writing this story. Especially creating it off the top of my head. I have not followed anyone's formula of writing, when I am ready to write I do. And If I am not, then I don't try to force it. It has to feel right; the moment has to feel authentic. Looking ahead I hope I can keep people entertained with a riveting story. As these characters crash into each other and their lives unravel, I hope everyone can feel and appreciate the emotion I try to express. I am learning as I write I get better BUT, I still want to write from a raw place. Somewhere not scripted and stiff. I am open to everyone for feedback and opinions. Once again, I hope everyone enjoys the ride and thank you for taking the time to read my book.
