“Our children who are being bullied shouldn’t feel hopeless, they shouldn’t fear for their lives, nor should they isolate themselves in silence because someone enjoys causing fear and getting a reaction out of them.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“The silent killer ties our children’s tongues to the extent that our children do not seek help. It numbs our children’s minds to only think negative thoughts. The silent killer hypnotizes their lives to the point that our children cannot recognize themselves anymore. The darkness of the silent killer pushes our children to their breaking point, and sometimes to the point of death.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“Bullying is overlooked in the worst way. How much does a person have to endure before they break down mentally and spaz out, or before someone suffers a tragic loss?â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“Bullying is overlooked in the worst way. Why do our children have to struggle to fly because the bullies think they have the ability to clip their wings?â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“Our children are extraordinary. As parents and guardians, we have to be bold and tell them if they attempt to walk in anyone else shoes, they are going to be highly disappointed because the shoes they are trying to walk in won’t fit.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“Our children are a reflection of us, we have to lead by example and let them know there isn’t anything wrong with them. We have to instill in them that it is important to step into their truth because they are unique and they do not have to walk in someone else’s shoes.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“We are our children’s roadmap when they think all is lost. We have to change their direction of drowning in self-doubt (What’s wrong with me?). We have to destroy the hopeless feelings that are buried deep within our children. We, the parents, guardians, and educators have to be the wheels to put our children back on track. We are our children’s guides and we have to put them back on the road of purpose.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“As parents, guardians, teachers, school administrators, and higher authorities, we have to tear down the wall of bullying. We have to hold the silent killer responsible for its actions. We are a powerful force and if we all can come together, we will put an end to the silent killer once and for all.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“Willingness to show we are interested in our children’s needs takes the burden and worries off their minds. It shows compassion on our end, and it builds trust on their end.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“I am a firm believer that “time is everything.†Sometimes “time†can make things difficult. However, it gives us the ability to analyze; to define transition and to reexamine our lives. Despite the outcome of the situation, “time†is rewarding because when all is said and done, it works out in our favor.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“As parents, guardians, and teachers who are being treated unfairly, we have to be productive, regardless of all the chaos. We cannot be passive, and we have to lay the foundation of truth, the foundation of justice, and the foundation of ownership to obtain closure once and for all to the silent killers that we call bullies.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“Now is the time to dissect and look at every angle in the distasteful world of bullying. Now is the time for us to put our best foot forward and take on the responsibility of saving our children from being killed or destroyed by bullying; also, known as the Silent Killer.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“For those who feel as though bullying is an unknown situation, let’s dare to be different and make the situation known by opening the problem at hand by speaking up and finding a solution to the problem. We should always remember, when a problem occurs, we must not forget that there’s always a solution.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“Our children are special, they are unique, they are a gift, and they are our children that we love dearly. Without a doubt, change will come and we must make that change happen because bullying is not accepted.â€
-Charlena E. Jackson, ~I’m Speaking Up but You’re Not Listening 2nd edition.~
“When our children are hopeless, we are the light that shines brightly to renew their hope. Our love and actions are the hope that floats to restore what was lost and to renew strength that they never imagined existing.â€
